Each year over 250 beginners take or learn to fence classes. Learning the sport of fencing is a great way to develop self-confidence, improve motor skills and coordination, and begin to understand strategic reasoning. Ajax Fencing Club provides beginner, intermediate and advanced Learn to Fence programs for boys and girls ages 8 to 13, as well as teens and adults. We offer 8-week programs starting in September, January, March, and July

- The Wednesday night children's Intermediate class is SOLD OUT so we are offering an additional 8 week class on Monday nights at Pickering Christian School (162 Rossland Rd East in Ajax from 6:30 to 7:45 from Jan 14th to March 8th. REGISTER NOW
8 -WEEK WEDNESDAY NIGHT LEARN TO FENCE PROGRAM DETAILS:
- Date: January 14th to March 4th 2026
- COST:$186/person - taxes extra & a $10 OFA fee payable to the club
- When: Wednesday Nights
- Time: Kids 8 to 13 from 6:30 to 7:40pm
- Time: Teen/Adult Class: 8 to 9:10pm
- Location: Ajax Community Centre, 75 Centennial Drive (behind the Ajax Hospital)
You must set up an account with the Town of Ajax Recreation Department at least 24 hours before you can register. Link to set up your account - Registration opens Nov 20th at 7am for Town of Ajax residents and Nov 27th for non-residents

Classes are small to keep a good student/coach ratio.
OFA FEE - Includes a membership in the Ontario Fencing Association and third party liability insurance.
All fencing equipment is provided by the club. Students must wear non-marking indoor court shoes and long pants.
